How to choose your jade

Color. Look for rich, even color. The most prized greens are vivid and lively; lavender, icy white, and black each have their own charm.

Translucency. Fine-grained jade lets light glow through it. Hold a piece to the light — the more luminous, the finer the stone.

Texture. Run your fingers over the surface. High-quality jade feels smooth, even, and almost silky.

Bangle sizing. Measure across your four fingers at the knuckles, then match to our size chart. When in doubt, size up slightly — comfort matters.

Care. Jade is tough but not invincible. Avoid harsh chemicals and hard knocks, and wipe clean with a soft cloth.
